Family Fun Day on June 23rd from 10 am to 3 pm

Tickets are now available on a beautiful quilt hand made by Claire Arsenault which will be drawn at 3 pm at the family Fun Day. Tickets are available after Masses.

Proceeds from the quilt draw and events of the day will go to our stained glass window project.

Plant sale: Please bring in any containers suitable for planting and leave them in the entryway of the church. Also, start your own plants and flowers to bring for the sale. Popsicle sticks work great for labelling.

Knights of Columbus Monthly Meeting. Monday May 14th in St. Joseph’s Room. Social begins at 5:45 meeting at 7PM. Annual Elections and some special presentations.

Flores De Mayo The Filipino Canadian Community is celebrating the 7th year of Flores de Mayo on Sunday May 20 at St. Joseph’s Church on Palace Rd., beginning with the rosary at 3 pm followed by Mass at 3:30 pm celebrated by Msgr. Lynch.  All are welcome.  A reception in the parish hall will follow.

Marian Movement of Priests Cenacle. Join the Marian Movement of Priests and Fr. Francis Geremiah while he conducts a Cenacle at the Church of the Good Thief, 743 King St. West, Kingston, on Saturday, May 27 at 4 pm. Everyone Welcome!

Natural Family Planning.  Come for an introduction to the Billings Ovulation Method of Natural Family Planning. Couples will be taught how to plan a pregnancy or avoid a pregnancy using their naturally occurring signs of fertility and infertility. Free sessions are held the third Monday of every month at St. Paul the Apostle Parish at 7 pm (right side entrance). Next clinic is Monday, May 21. Bereaved Families of Ontario – Family Night: A support evening open to any adult who has lost a loved one. Tuesday, May 15 at 7:30 pm, 721 Progress Ave, Unit 1.

Coins for Life: On May 19/20, containers will be available for you to take home after all Masses. Please fill the containers with coins and return on the weekend of September 15/16. Your spare change will help to fuel our efforts on behalf of LIFE. Please take a container if you would like to participate. Sponsored by Campaign Life Coalition  -389-4472 or 382-1084.

Friar Ed Debono’s 50th Anniversary of Ordination Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 26 at the 4:30 pm Mass at St. John the Apostle Church. Come and pray in thanksgiving for Father Ed’s vocation to the priesthood. There will be a reception immediately following in the parish hall.

ARCHBISHOP O’BRIEN’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF EPISCOPAL ORDINATION: On Sunday, June 24 2012, all parishioners are warmly invited to a special celebration of Archbishop O’Brien’s 25th Anniversary of Episcopal Ordination and his 5th Anniversary as Archbishop of Kingston. Mass will be celebrated at 3 pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral, followed by a reception on the Cathedral lawn. In recognition of the Archbishop’s milestone anniversaries, this year’s collection for the Education of Seminarians will be taken up in his honour on the weekend of June 16/17. The proceeds of the collection will be presented to Archbishop O’Brien at the Anniversary Mass on June 24. Our generous support of this important collection will be a fitting tribute to the Archbishop’s tireless efforts to support our seminarians and encourage vocations to the priesthood.

Wolf Island Day Camp: open to children 5 to 12 years. Cost of registration is $135.00 per child for a one week session with a 10% discount for each additional week that a child is registered. Camp begins the week of July 3 and ends August 10. Activities include swimming, sports, games and crafts.
