Tickets are now available on a beautiful quilt hand made by Claire Arsenault which will be drawn at 3 pm at the family Fun Day. Tickets are available after Masses and if you can help sell a book or two please see Karla.

Proceeds from the quilt draw and events of the day will go to our stained glass window project.

Plant sale: Please bring in any containers suitable for planting and leave them in the entryway of the church. Also, start your own plants and flowers to bring for the sale. Popsicle sticks work great for labelling.

Volunteers Needed!
- If you would be interested in leading a parish youth group, or coordinating hospitality after 10:30 Mass please call Christine at the parish office.

Thank you to all those who continue to bring food every weekend for St. Vincent de Paul. There are many hungry people to feed.

Catholic Education Week 2012 will be celebrated from May 6 – May 11. This year’s theme, Catholic Education: Walking in the Light of Christ finds its biblical source in the Gospel of John where Jesus proclaims, “I am the light of the World” (John 8:12) and we read in psalm 119, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, (Psalm 119:105) During this week, schools will be celebrating the enduring gift of Catholic education with special prayers and presentations. We ask that this parish community pray for our Catholic schools, that they may continue to bear witness that they strive to walk in the Light of Christ.

Holy Family Parish Fun Fair Bazaar will be held Wednesday, May 9 at Holy Family School, 114 Wiley St. Kingston. Times are 12:00 – 2:30 pm for students and seniors, and 6:00 – 8:00 pm for the general public. Come and share the fun, refreshments and great buys! Proceeds support both parish and school.

ARCHBISHOP O’BRIEN’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF EPISCOPAL ORDINATION:
On Sunday, June 24 2012, all parishioners are warmly invited to a special celebration of Archbishop O’Brien’s 25th Anniversary of Episcopal Ordination and his 5th Anniversary as Archbishop of Kingston. Mass will be celebrated at 3 pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral, followed by a reception on the Cathedral lawn. In recognition of the Archbishop’s milestone anniversaries, this year’s collection for the Education of Seminarians will be taken up in his honour on the weekend of June 16/17. The proceeds of the collection will be presented to Archbishop O’Brien at the Anniversary Mass on June 24. Our generous support of this important collection will be a fitting tribute to the Archbishop’s tireless efforts to support our seminarians and encourage vocations to the priesthood.

ROSES FOR LIFE “ Roses” will be available at all Masses as a memento to honour our mothers on Mother’s Day, 13 May 2012. Donations will be appreciated
