(including those who have been registered here for some time). You can get registration forms in the church entryway or on our website http://holyname.ca. When you
have the form filled out please drop it in the collection basket.
Volunteers Needed!
- If you would be interested in leading a parish youth group please call Christine at the office or see Father Wes.
-We need new choir members and Children’s liturgy leaders for our
10:30 Mass. If you are interested please call Christine at the parish
office.
Book of Remembrance is in the entryway of the Church.
Please add names of loved ones who have passed away in the last year.
This book will be placed in front of the Altar for the month of
November.
All Souls Day Envelopes: are available in the entryway of the church
for those who wish to remember the faithfully departed in a special
way, List your friends and relatives who you want prayed for at the
Masses on All Souls Day. Please place envelopes in collection
basket or forward to parish office before Nov. 1st.
Catholic Women’s League:
will be collecting items for Canadian Food for Children (Dr. Simone).
They are accepting men’s and women’s clothing and
particularly children’s clothing and shoes. They will also accept
blankets, towels and school supplies (books, pens, erasers). All items
should be clean, in good condition and in clear plastic bags. Bob
and Karla will deliver items early on October 31st so please get them
in by Oct. 28th.
Knights of Columbus have religious themed Christmas cards available for sale.
This is not a fundraiser, simply an attempt to ensure you have access
to cards that truly honour the reason for Christmas.

Knights Council 11886 is celebrating its 15th Anniversary
with a Mass and banquet on November 5th. All parishioners are welcome

William Vanhorn Memorial & Benefit Concert:
Proceeds raised will go to Canadian Mental Health Association Kingston
in memory of William Vanhorn and those dealing with mental health and
illness. The evening will include a variety of musical acts and door
prizes. In addition to admission price, the evening includes several
additional fundraising efforts such as 50/50 draw and donations at the

Reading Buddy Volunteers Needed
Do you enjoy reading and working with our youth? Holy Name Catholic
School is looking for volunteer ‘reading buddies’ to assist
Grade 1 through Grade 4 students. Come, listen and help develop a
child’s reading skills. Any time and day that fits into your
schedule is appreciated. A CPIC check is required. Please contact

Bereaved Families of Ontario Mourning
Coffee: Come in for coffee, tea, water or juice and some informal chat
with other bereaved individuals. Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 10 to 11
am at 721 Progress Ave., unit “1.
New Life Group: A Catholic
Ministry for the Separated and Divorced will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 25
from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Diocesan Centre. Topic: Self Image, Self
Esteem. All faith denominations are welcome.
On Good Soil is a Diocesan
Workshop to launch the new CCCB publication On Good Soil on Pastoral
Planning for Evangelization and Catechesis with Adults. It will be held
at St. John Catholic High School, 2066 Scotch Line Rd. in Perth on
Saturday, October 29th from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. The presenter, Joanne
Chafe, is Director of National Office of Religious Education for the
Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, Ottawa. By attending the
workshop, you will learn the current situation of the Church in Canada,
you will gain new insights on how to provide effective formation with
adults and you will become aware of possibilities to help your local
parish. Registration is required by Monday, Oct. 24th because there is
a catered lunch and books can be borrowed to use for the day. To

give a donation for the lunch.

Anniversary of the arrival of Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph
Sisters in Kingston and the founding of Hotel Dieu Hospital. Following
