23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
“If you are offering a gift at the altar and on the way find that your neighbour has something against you
first go and be reconciled with your neighbour
and then come and offer your gift” (Mt 5:23-24)

New Translation of the Mass: There are cd’s and pamphlets in the church entryway which explain the changes that will be coming in November.

Location of 10:30 Mass
The Parish Council is accepting feedback about the location of the 10:30 Mass until the end of September. (If you wish to keep the 10:30 Mass at the school please be sure to indicate if you are willing and committed to help with set up).At our first meeting in October we will review all letters and make a final decision. The 10:30 Mass will remain at the church for the month of September as Fr. Wes is on Holidays for most of the month.
Please get your signed letters in to the office by email, fax or through the collection basket.  Thank You!

Thank You! Barbara Fleet would like to thank everyone for making her 80th birthday so special. Thank you for all the best wishes and prayers and a special thank you to Father Wes for the beautiful Mass and his kind ways!

To help us obtain a more accurate account of our parishioners we are asking that all families fill out a new registration form (including those who have been registered here for some time). When you have the form filled out please drop it in the collection basket.

Soccer Challenge: Knights of Columbus Council 11886 will sponsor a Soccer Challenge competition for Catholic boys and girls ages 10-14. The local competition will be held Saturday, September 17th at St. Martha School soccer field from 10 am to 2 pm regardless of weather. Winners may progress through District and State/Provincial competitions. Participants must arrive with an entry form signed by parent or guardian. Women’s Fall Retreat: Friday, Sept. 16th to Sunday, Sept. 18th at Glen House Resort, Gananoque. Presenter is Dolores Hall who is an experienced and entertaining facilitator. Theme is “I am with you.” Isaiah 41:10. This Catholic Retreat will be a combination of inspiration and relaxation. Harvest Supper: Please join the Parish of St. Charles Borromeo, Read, Holy Name of Mary, Marysville and St. Vincent de Paul, Deseronto on Sunday, September 11th , at Read Parish Hall from 3:30 to 7:00 pm. We will be serving a delicious hot roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and homemade pies for dessert! Adults: $15, Children (6-12) $8 and children 5 and under free. The Annual Birthright yard sale takes place Saturday, September 10 from 8-3 at St. Joseph’s Parish parking lot. Invitation to Masses during Priests Convocation:
During fall convocation, the priests of the Archdiocese will gather with Archbishop O’Brien for Mass on Tuesday, September 20 @ 11:30 am and Wednesday, September 21 @ 3 pm both at St. Joseph’s Parish, Kingston. The parishioners of all Kingston and area parishes are invited to attend the celebration of the Eucharist on these days.

Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to the Eucharistic Congress in Ireland is being planned and they would like to know if you are interested in joining them. Please see notice on bulletin board in entryway of church.
