24th SUNDAY in ORDINARY TIME Jesus asks us to forgive. Our response to injury and injustice must be to forgive. Jesus’ command to forgive challenges the divisions within our families, workplaces, and communities. We need to believe that love is stronger than hate, that retaliation is counter-productive, and that justice must be left to our Heavenly Father. If God sent His only son to be crucified so that our sins would be forgiven, than likewise we are called to take up our own crosses by forgiving each other.
