5th Sunday of Easter
Our faithfulness to Jesus will bear much fruit if we stay connected to Him who is Love.  Listening to Jesus’s word and receiving Him in the Eucharist will give us the strength to continue our journey and spread His love to all those that we meet in our ordinary lives.

Parish Yard/Bake Sale & Barbecue will take place on Saturday May 27th from 8am-1pm. If you have household items, clothing, toys &  wish to have them picked up, call Knights Mike -353-6956 or Jim - 546-1047.  Bake goods can be dropped off the day of the sale.  Because of severe allergies  - any item that contain nuts should be marked “contains nuts”. Parish Prayer Network each day over 50 parishioners pray for your.  They are our Parish Prayer Network.  They also pray for people in need & for special intentions.  If you would like to join the Prayer Network, or if you have an intention for the Prayer Network please call 546-0418.

Eucharistic Adoration is held in St. James Chapel at St. Mary’s Cathedral -Monday-Friday from 8:15 am - 9:00pm. Sat. From 8:15am-5:00pm and Sun. 1:00pm-9:00pm.  All are welcome.  Adorers are needed for Tues. 12:00pm-1:00pm and 4:00pm-5:00pm. Call Karen- 542-8321 or 541-5010 ext 2416 during the day

Holy Name Church Camp, July 10-14, Holy Name School, Ages 4-12: Theme: “Treasure Island: Where Kid’s Discover God’s Love”.  Information and registration forms are at the entrance of the church.

This week the Da Vinci Code movie is being released.  As you know it is based on a very popular fictional novel, which has created new interest about Jesus and the Catholic Church.  There will be a discussion night on the Da Vinci code, Monday, June 19, 7:30pm, St. Joseph’s room.

Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary beginning Thursday, May 25th at 2:00pm for nine consecutive Thursdays in St. Joseph’s room.  We will pray for special intentions.  Everyone is welcome.  Refreshments.

TO OUR HEROES: Another great Ladies’ Night - the service, hospitality, food and entertainment were outstanding.  You all worked hard and it showed - it was a most enjoyable evening.

C.W.L.  Thank you everyone who attended the Mother/Daughter Pot Luck last Wednesday evening.  It was a Baby Shower for Birthright - and a great success - we raised over $600.00 for Birthright and many outfits, sleepers, bibs, diapers, blankets etc were donated as well.  Thank you everyone for your generosity.  There will be a wrap-up meeting before summer on Wednesday, June 7th   & we hope as many as possible will attend.

Religious Faiths and the Poor: Inter-faith gathering -Wed. May 24th 7:00pm at Memorial Hall @ City Hall.  Share your concerns about poverty and learn from people of different faiths how they are facing the challenge.  Archbishop Meagher will be there and he is hoping for good representation from our parish.

O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests,deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in making you known & loved by all.  Through the intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen
