“The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone”.  Jesus is our cornerstone. He is the centre of our faith. He loves us and calls us by our name.  He takes care of us, laying down his life like a shepherd taking care of his sheep. We need to listen to His voice so that we can be good children of God.

Bazaar Meeting  will take place on May 8th at 7:30 pm.  All are welcome to attend.  We need your
input so that we can have a new and improved bazaar.  All suggestions are important.

Parish Yard/Bake Sale & Barbecue will take place on Saturday May 27th from 8am-1pm. If you have household items, clothing, toys &  wish to have them picked up, call Knights Mike -353-6956 or Jim -
546-1047.  Bake goods can be dropped off the day of the sale.  Thanks!

Eucharistic Adoration is held in St. James Chapel at St. Mary’s Cathedral -Monday-Friday from 8:15am-9:00pm. Sat. From 8:15am-5:00pm and Sun. 1:00pm-9:00pm.  All are welcome.  Adorers are needed for Tues. 12:00pm-1:00pm and 4:00pm-5:00pmas Thurs. 8:15am -9:00am and 12:00pm-1:00pm as well as all days between 6:00pm-9:00pm. National Nursing Week  - May 8-12 -all nurses are welcome to celebrate a special Mass at Hotel
Dieu Hospital Chapel on May 12th at 11:30am.  Refreshments to follow.

Bereaved Families of Ontario - Mother’s Night on Tuesday, May 9th at 7:30pm at Progress Avenue, Unit1  Rita Bell will speak on “Ritual and Renewal”.  Mothers who have lost a child through death are welcome to attend.

9th National March for Life in Ottawa on Thursday May 11th
.  Campaign Life Kingston has organized a bus leaving from St Joseph’s Church parking lot at 7:30 am, arriving in Ottawa for the opening Mass at Notre Dame Cathedral at 10 am. Cost is $25. return.  For more info.  Call 382-1064 or 389-4472.

O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests,
deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in making you known & loved by all.  Through the intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen
