Sixth Sunday of Ordinary Time- Feburary 11, 2007
“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord”. “Happy are they who hope in the Lord”.  Many circumstances present themselves to us each day.  Do we always have the trust and hope mentioned today in the readings.  Jesus speaks directly to us -to our hearts, to be hope-filled people.  We need to spend time with Him so that we can really believe Him, trust Him and hope that He will always be with us.

As you know a committee of Parishioners was to meet with the Archdiocese to obtain permission to build a church in Greenwood Park.  With the death of Archbishop Meagher all committees are suspended; therefore, we will have to wait for the new Archbishop before we can make our presentation about the Greenwood Park Church.  This may delay our plans by a year or so.

A three-legged dog walks into a saloon in the Old West.  He slides up to the bar and announces: “I’m looking for the man who shot my paw.”

Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused Novocain during a root canal?  He wanted to transcend dental medication.
