Fifth Sunday of Ordinary Time- Feburary 4, 2007
The gospel tells us that Peter, James and John followed Jesus because
Jesus touched them in their ordinary, workaday lives. He gave
them extraordinary success in what they did every day-catch fish.
Jesus then promised they would continue to do what they did best, but
with a new twist-they would catch people. Each of us our called
in a similar way. We are to strive to do our best and to make
Jesus’ presence known to others through our words and deeds.
