Catholic Women’s League News:
There will be no general meeting on Wednesday, May 2nd. On Wednesday May 9, 2012 there will
be Mass at 6:30 pm followed by a Special Guest Speaker: Kristiin
Konieczny of Christian Catholic Outreach who will speak about
University Students coming back to the Church as well as her own
experience in her call to be a CCO missionary. She will also share
stories about her trip to the Holy Land.
Everyone is welcome!
Family Fun Day on June 23rd from 10 am to 3 pm
Tickets will be available soon on a beautiful quilt hand made by Claire
Arsenault. This will be drawn at 3 pm at the family Fun Day.
Keep this day free and stay tuned for all the exciting details.
Proceeds from the quilt draw and events of the day will go to our
stained glass window project.
Plant sale: Please bring in any
containers suitable for planting and leave them in the entryway of the
church. Also, start your own plants and flowers to bring for the sale.
Popsicle sticks work great for labelling.

100th anniversary of the Founding of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and the 90th anniversary of our Alumnae
on May 5th, 2012. Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral at 3 pm
followed by cocktails and dinner at the Four Points Sheraton at 6 pm.
Holy Family Parish Fun Fair Bazaar
will be held Wednesday, May 9 at Holy Family School, 114 Wiley St.
Kingston. Times are 12:00 – 2:30 pm for students and seniors, and
6:00 – 8:00 pm for the general public. Featuring; tea room,
baking and candy tables, treasure chest, books & movies table,
plant table, draw table, duck pond and canteen. Come and share the fun,
refreshments and great buys! Proceeds support both parish and school.
Voices of Joy Gospel Choir,
directed by Juliet Milsome, presents a Benefit Concert for the St.
Vincent de Paul Society in Kingston – Saturday, May 12 at 7 pm at
the Providence Mother House in Kingston. Refreshments will be
served. Admission by donation of $10-$20 to the St. Vincent de
Paul Society.

A bus will leave Kingston for the National March for Life on Thursday,
May 10, 2012 from St. Joseph’s church parking lot on Palace Rd.
at 7:30 am sharp to arrive in time for the Masses and prayer services.

Flores De Mayo The
Filipino Canadian Community is celebrating the 7th year of Flores de
Mayo on Sunday May 20 at St. Joseph’s Church on Palace Rd.,
beginning with the rosary at 3 pm followed by Mass at 3:30 pm
celebrated by Msgr. Lynch. All are welcome. A reception in
the parish hall will follow.
