7th
Sunday in Ordinary Time
The words of forgiveness spoken to the paralytic are with us in the
sacrament of reconciliation.
All of us are crippled by some type of sin and are more in need of the
healing words of Jesus than we would care to admit.
One of the greatest gifts Christ gave to his Church was the power to
forgive sin, which is available through the ministry of any priest.

The Relic of St. Anthony of Padua is coming to Kingston
Our Friars of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual administer the
Basilica and Tomb of St. Anthony in Padua Italy. The Friars at St.
John’s, Kingston, have requested that the relic of St.
Anthony be
brought to Kingston. Our Friars from Padua will bring the relic to
Kingston on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012.
Because we anticipate a large crowd, we arranged for the relic to be
shown at St. Mary’s Cathedral – a much larger
venue- rather
than St. John’s Church.
The relic will arrive on March 13. Veneration will begin at 11:00 am
and continue until 6:30 pm. People will be able to focus on the person
of St. Anthony in the presence of the relic until 6:30 pm. There will
be a quiet time of prayer, when people are requested to go into pews
and not walk around, from 6:30 – 7 pm, and Mass will begin at
7
pm. The Knights of Columbus will be on site to direct the flow of
pilgrims. For more info - Friar Ed. at 613-546-6900,or
