Volunteers Needed!
- If you would be interested in leading a parish youth group, being a Children’s liturgy leader for our 10:30 Mass or coordinating hospitality after 10:30 Mass please call Christine at the parish office.

Holy Name Catholic School is seeking a responsible individual interested in part-time work as a yard supervisor. Individuals will supervise students inside and outside during lunch hour between 12:05 and 1:05pm. Applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and require a CPIC. Please contact the school for further information 613-542-8611.

The Knights of Columbus have donated a wheelchair to Holy Name of Jesus Parish in remembrance of Ruth Walker, in recognition for her continuous support of the Knights and Parish. It is fitting that Ruth will continue to assist visitors and parishioners in need of mobility assistance. The formal presentation will take place Sunday 19 February at the 9 am Mass.

Pancake Breakfast: sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on Sunday, February 19th after all three Masses. 
Breakfast will be available in St. Joseph’s room and donations will be gratefully accepted.



Regiopolis –Notre Dame Catholic High School Grade 8 Information Night for parents and students will be held at RND (including info on the International Baccalaureate –IB Program  Thursday, February 16  IB -6pm – 6:45 pm in room 104.  7 pm to 9 pm in the cafetorium.

Thank You! – The Hacault family would like to pass on a heartfelt Thank-You for the baby shower held on the 1st of February. We are deeply moved by the kindness and support we have received.

Thank-You on behalf of the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph for your support of the Hotel Dieu Coat Drive. Over 400 coats were donated and 360 ended up in the hands of those in need.

Sunday Vespers and the Rite of Election with Archbishop O’Brien and Elect of our Archdiocese

All are invited to Sunday Vespers and the Rite of Election at St. Mary’s Cathedral on the 1st Sunday of Lent, 26, February, 2012, at 4 pm. Archbishop O’Brien will preside and formally welcome all those who have been preparing for Baptism this Easter, as well as Baptized Candidates for Full Communion. Refreshments will be provided for all at St. Mary’s Parish Centre.

New Life Group: a Catholic Ministry for the Separated and Divorced, will meet on Tuesday, February 14th from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Diocesan Centre. Topic: Caring & Sharing.

Bereaved Families of Ontario: Mothers’ Night – An evening for mothers to share the loss of a child of any age, due to any circumstances, with other mothers in confidence. Tuesday, Feb. 14th at 6:30 pm – 721 Progress Ave

Alumnae of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing General Meeting- February 23 at 7 pm at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Conference room 1 Centennary 2. All Alumnae are welcome.

World Day of Prayer: You are invited to attend the 2012 World Day of Prayer which will be held on Friday, 2 March 2012 at 2 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 490 Days Rd. Kingston. This year the focus is on the country of Malaysia and the theme is Let Justice Prevail. A light lunch will follow the service.

“St. Patrick’s Day Social”

Presented by Holy Name of Jesus Parish
in association with Rideau Acres
with performances by IRISH ROOTS.


Sunday, March 18th  - 12 to 4 pm.
The 10:30 Mass and 12:00 Mass will be combined into one 11:00 am Mass.
Immediately following there will be food, fun, fellowship, entertainment and activities for kids of all ages.
Tickets are available after all Masses or in the Parish Office.

$10 single/$20 family.
Please get your tickets early!
