Holy Name Catholic School is seeking a responsible individual interested in part-time work as a yard supervisor. Individuals will supervise students inside and outside during lunch hour between 12:05 and 1:05pm. Applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and require a CPIC.  IB -6pm – 6:45 pm in room 104.

3rd Annual
“St. Patrick’s Day Social”

Presented by Holy Name Parish
in association with Rideau Acres
with performances by IRISH ROOTS.


Sunday, March 18th  - 12 to 4 pm. The 10:30 Mass and 12:00 Mass will be combined into one 11:00 am Mass.
Immediately following there will be food, fun, fellowship, entertainment and activities for kids of all ages. Tickets are available after all Masses or in the Parish Office.
$10 single/$20 family.
There will be a planning meeting on Wednesday February 8th at 7 pm in St. Joseph’s Room. If you are willing to help plan the afternoon, especially the children’s activities, or if you would like to help out that day please come to this meeting.

St. Joseph’s Catholic Women’s League will host a guest speaker at their monthly general meeting on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 7 pm. Guest speaker, Alison Bogle, a teacher with the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, will talk about her recent two week trip to Haiti to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity International. Two years ago, the island of Haiti was decimated by an earthquake. Last November, Alison travelled to Laogone, the epicentre of the earthquake to join more than 500 others in an effort to build 150 homes in two weeks for the people of the community of Santo. The presentation will include a brief video/slide show. All are welcome to attend.

Kingston Frontenacs’ Faith and Family day
The Frontenacs are offering discounted tickets to faith groups for a 2 pm game on Monday February 20th between the Frontenacs and the Ottawa 67’s. There will be many activities throughout the afternoon including a family skate on the K-Rock ice. Tickets will be $10 if we have enough people. Please call Christine at the parish office before February 9th if you would like tickets.
