4th Sunday in Ordinary Time
The Word of God will always challenge us to the depth of our being.
Today it is asking us how honest and authentic we really are as we face the problems of living the Christian message amid a questioning world.

Volunteers Needed!
- If you would be interested in leading a parish youth group, being a Children’s liturgy leader for our 10:30 Mass or coordinating hospitality after 10:30 Mass please call Christine at the parish office.

2012 Youth Leadership Camp: The Knights of Columbus Youth Camp will take place August 20-25th  at Jericho House, Port Colbourne, Ontario. Students age 16, 17, & 18 from high schools through Ontario are invited to apply to attend. More details available at www.11886knights.com/youth.html.

Knights of Columbus News: Another advantage of being a Knight...The K of C provincial bursary program in honour of our State Chaplains, assists Knights and members of their families entering the first year of a post-secondary education. Eligibility for a $1000 Ontario Knights of Columbus Bursary can be read at www.11886knights.com. Final date for filing an application shall be April 16th, 2012. New Knights can be invested prior to that date if you wish to apply.

Sunday, March 18th  - 12 to 4 pm. The 10:30 Mass and 12:00 Mass will be combined into one 11:00 am Mass. Immediately following there will be food, fun, fellowship, entertainment and activities for kids of all ages. Tickets are available after all Masses beginning this weekend, or in the Parish Office.
$10 single/$20 family.
There will be a planning meeting on Wednesday February 8th at 7 pm in St. Joseph’s Room. If you are willing to help plan the afternoon, especially the children’s activities, or if you would like to help out that day please come to this meeting.

Archdiocesan Celebration of Sunday Vespers and the Rite of Election: All parishioners are invited to celebrate Sunday Vespers and the Rite of Election at St. Mary’s Cathedral on the 1st Sunday of Lent, February 26th at 4 pm. Archbishop O’Brien will preside and formally welcome all those who have been preparing for Baptism this Easter, as well as candidates for Full Communion. After the celebration all are welcome to join us for refreshments.

Development & Peace: For those wishing to help make the annual Share Lent Campaign a success in their parish, join us Sat. Feb. 11 from 10 am–2pm at Holy Rosary Parish in Belleville for an information workshop. Hear stories about what D&P is doing to make a difference in the lives of the poorest and most marginalized. Learn how to share those stories with your parish and build support for your Catholic International Development Agency this Lent! RSVP to Jan Sosiak 613-968-9659

New Life Support Group: a Catholic Ministry for the separated and Divorced, will meet on Tuesday, January 31 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Diocesan Centre on Palace Rd.  Topic: Financial Concerns.  All denominations are welcome.
