This gospel fills us with an inspiring image of a generous, gracious
and forgiving God whose love for us has no bounds and whose mercy
extends to everyone who turns to him.
New Translation of the Mass: In November,
the beginning of Advent, you will see changes to various parts of the
Mass. Please pick up a pamphlet and cd at the back of the Church. They
will explain and help you prepare for these changes.
Location of 10:30 Mass
The Parish Council is accepting feedback about the location of the
10:30 Mass until the end of September. (If you wish to keep the 10:30
Mass at the school please be sure to indicate if you are willing and
committed to help with set up).At our first meeting in October we will
review all letters and make a final decision. The 10:30 Mass will
remain at the church for the month of September as Fr. Wes is on
Holidays for most of the month.

Catholic Women’s League News: Bake sale after 9 am and 10:30 am Masses on September 25th!
The next general meeting is on Wednesday, Oct. 5th at 7 pm in St. Joseph’s Room. Debra Lefebvre will be the guest speaker.
Invitation to Masses during Priests Convocation:
During fall convocation, the priests of the Archdiocese will gather
with Archbishop O’Brien for Mass on Tuesday, September 20 @ 11:30
am and Wednesday, September 21 @ 3 pm both at St. Joseph’s
Parish, Kingston. The parishioners of all Kingston and area parishes
are invited to attend the celebration of the Eucharist on these days.

Council 11886 Knights of Columbus Essay Contest is open to all Catholic
students in public, private or parochial schools in grades 8, 9, 10, 11
and 12. The theme of the contest is “The responsibility of the

Latin Mass: St. James Chapel on October 2 at 3 pm.

Life Chain: Sunday, Oct. 2 from 2-3 pm the annual Life Chain will be
held across Canada. In Kingston we will gather at the Newlands Pavilion
(next to Murney Tower) at 1:45 pm. After opening prayers we will walk
to King St. Across from Kingston General Hospital where more than
30,000 preborn babies have been deliberately killed by abortion. This
is a prayerful, silent event remembering all the victims of abortion.
Please come and bring friends and families for one hour of silent
prayer and witness to the sanctity of human life.
Hotel Dieu Hospital Coat Drive is seeking volunteers that can offer one
afternoon (12:30 – 3:00 pm) to assist people in need of warm
winter coats. The program runs from November1 to January 31 (with a
Christmas Break) and provides a place to “shop” for winter
wear that we receive as donations from the community. If you would like

St. Paul the Apostle Church Fall Pilgrimage to Madonna House –
Oct. 13: Join us as we travel through the scenic hills of Hastings and
Renfrew counties and admire the beautiful fall foliage on our way to
Madonna House. The cost of $35 covers coach and driver’s tip Call

Three Tuesdays – Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and
October 11. Mass 7 pm. Presentations 7:30 – 8:30 pm by Fr. J.
Hibbard. These presentations of the Holy Eucharist will help us deepen
our knowledge of the Mass. A social time will follow each evening in
the Parish hall. All are welcome!
Legion of Mary Retreat: hosted by Mother of Mercy Praesidium Saturday,
Oct. 1 10am to 2 pm at St. Paul the Apostle Church. Theme: The Presence
