6th Sunday of Easter
In the Holy Spirit we have a helper and a comforter who makes Jesus present in each generation to every person in their individual situation.
We will receive the Lord’s Spirit and grow in our awareness of Jesus only if we request it in prayer.

Summer Masses:  All Masses will be at the church again this summer to give set up crews a well deserved break! From July 1st to August 31st the 11 am Sunday Mass will be held in Holy Name of Jesus Church on Kingston Mills Rd.  If you have any questions call Christine in the parish office or see a member of our parish council.

Reader and Extraordinary Minister of Communion Lists for June are at the back of the Church and School. Be sure to check the schedule.

Catholic Women’s League Executive Meeting :  Wednesday, June 1 at 7 pm in St. Joseph’s Room.  We will be setting the schedule for the year and organizing the Installation of the new executive.  All ladies are welcome!

Special Guest Speaker: Fr. Charles Enyinnia
Hosted by the Catholic Women’s League of Holy Family Chapel, CFB Kingston, this free event (donations for food bank accepted) will take place at Holy Family Chapel on Lundy’s Lane at 7 pm on Tuesday May 31st.  Fr. Charles will offer insight about his homeland and his inspiring personal story.  Refreshments will be served.

Wolfe Island Day Camp: open to children 5 to 12 years. Cost of registration is $135 per child for a one week session with a 10% discount for each additional week that a child is registered. If you buy garden supplies at Neil‘s Flowers on Sydenham Rd. you can at the same time, be helping your sister parish on Day’s Rd raise money to repair their roof. Just ask the cashier at Neil’s to enter the amount of your purchase on an “Our Lady of Lourdes Fundraising Project Ticket”. Neil’s will retain the tickets and will donate to Lourde’s, ten percent of the amount of sales. The plan ends on June 19.

Joke
Ms. Terri asked her Sunday school class to draw pictures of their favourite bible stories.
She was puzzled by Kyle’s picture, which showed four people on an airplane, so she asked him which story it was meant to represent.
“The Flight to Egypt”, was his reply.
Pointing at each figure, Ms Terri said, “That must be Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.  But who’s the fourth person?
“Oh, that’s Pontius, the pilot!”
