13th  Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus’ message is clear.
If anything at all stands in our way or takes priority over Jesus in our lives, then we are not free to follow Him.
We love the call but we quibble about the cost to our personal freedom.
The Lord’s call requires an immediate response and is not something to be fitted in after we have attended to all the “important Business”.

He was just starting to get a good rhythm going when a bug flew into the barn and started circling his head.
Suddenly, the bug flew into the cow’s ear.
The farmer didn’t think much about it, until the bug squirted out into his milk bucket.
It went in one ear and out the udder.
