24th    Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus promises that every cross we have to bear,
no matter how difficult and burdensome,
if united with Christ’s cross becomes a source of salvation for ourselves and each other.
Crosses are ladders to heaven.
The cross, which is planted in the centre of Christian living,
is not an invitation to lead a miserable life but is a call to hope in the face of suffering ,
which is a normal part of human existence.

Discernment Prayer Group: We need volunteers to become members of a discernment prayer group to seek God’s will for the good of Holy Name Parish.  Please write a short introduction and reasons why you would like to be part of this group.
