Sunday in Ordinary Time
We too can stretch out our
hand to help others.
We can accept that the world is broken and
unfair.
A good question we can ask ourselves is, “Do I want to
be right in this situation or do I want to be loving?”
They are
often not the same thing!

Coming Soon! Inspiring CDs and Brochures
We are proud to present a new educational opportunity called Lighthouse
Catholic Media, a practical and effective program to help Catholics
know their faith…to keep their faith. We all live busy lives.
Finding the time to learn about our faith is difficult, but now we are
able to meet you where you are! Whenever you have a CD player
available to you; in the car, at home, in the workplace, you can deepen
your understanding and love for the faith. Soon you will see a display
stand on your way into church offering 9 different CDs and three
different brochures. These feature some of the most inspiring
catholic speakers; bishops, priests, deacons and eminent catholic lay
men and women. The CDs and brochures will be available after Mass
on weekends. We ask for a donation of $5.00 per CD and $.50 per
brochure so that we may continue this program. When these are
gone a new set with different titles and speakers will be
ordered. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful
opportunity.

Joke
Last
week I was driving from Milwaukee to Chicago with my wife.
Wisconsin
had recently installed new scoreboard –style highway signs that
keep commuters up-to-date on current traffic conditions and at the
time the message read, “Change speed to 50 MPH A HEAD.”
I
thought, “There are two heads in this car at the moment so…”
and then looked over at my wife who, without waiting for me to say
anything, simply said, “No.”
She
knows me too well.
