In today’s second reading Paul is teaching us that we need to focus on God no matter what we decide to do with our lives.
As we go about our week, may God’s Word find a home in our minds and hearts.
May we always listen for God’s voice and follow Jesus’ teaching given to us with love and authority.

C.W.L.: Meeting on Wed., Feb. 4 at 7:00pm.  A Certificate of Merit will be presented to one of our members.  Hope everyone can come out!  There will be a history on St. Valentine and a reflection on love.  Prayer partners will be drawn.

Catholic Faith Education Team Meeting: Thursday, February 5 @ 7:00 pm.

Attention Parents of Grade Two Students: Parent meetings for 1st Confession and
1st Communion will be as follows:
Holy Name School (and other schools)- Tuesday, February 3 - 7:00 pm
St. Martha School - Wednesday, February 4 - 6:30 pm

Youth Mass: Sunday, February 8 at 10:30 am - St. Martha School.  The entire Mass will be led by our young people.  Youth from our Parish will form a band to lead us in song.
All youth please bring a non-perishable food item for our food drive!

Potluck Dinner with Archbishop Brendan O’Brien: Archbishop O’Brien will be celebrating Mass at Holy Name on Saturday, February 21, at 5:30pm. Following Mass, the Archbishop will join us for a potluck dinner and fellowship at Holy Name School.  Please sign up after Masses at the Church & St. Martha School. Everyone Welcome!        
                                  
Thank you to all who continue to bring food items every weekend for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  They report that our food is not on the shelf very long.  Poor families are truly in need.  Thank you for helping them.

Coordinator of Youth Ministry - the Archdiocese of Kingston seeks a part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry.  Good organizational, leadership and communication skills are required as well as a sound knowledge of Church teachings and practices.  Detailed information about the position will be posted on the diocesan website: www.romancatholic.kingston.on.ca. New Life Group : a Catholic Ministry for the Separated and Divorced will meet Tuesday, February 3  from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Diocesan Centre, on Palace Rd.  Topic: “ Where Do We Turn?- Practical Solutions” -Speaker - Gerry Gregory.                                         All faith denominations are welcome.

Holy Name Parish is having one big Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
at Rideau Acres on Thursday, Feb. 12th from 6 to 9 pm.

Everyone who has volunteered for Holy Name in the last year is invited.

Because of space limitations it will be for volunteers only!
This may mean that you will have to come without your spouse, children or parents
if they are not a volunteer.

It will be a great opportunity to meet and get to know fellow volunteers from all Masses.
