3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus says “Come Follow Me” and immediately Simon, Andrew, James and John follow.
In today’s hectic world we may find our resolve to follow the Gospel being diverted.
We miss opportunities for forgiving, healing, comforting and providing for those in need.
We must respond to the call now, like Jesus and those first followers.

Joke
A visiting minister was assisting at our local church service.
During the offertory prayer, the following happened:
“Dear Lord,” he began with arms extended and a rapturous look on his upturned face,
“without you we are but dust...”
He would have continued, but at that moment one little girl leaned over to her mother and asked quite loudly,
“Mommy, WHAT is butt dust?”...................The service was pretty much over at that point.
