Pentecost Sunday
As the Bible teaches us, God always knows how to speak to us in ways that people will understand.
Through the Scriptures, through loving relationships, through the Eucharist, through prayer of all kinds, through beauty, even through silence.
All we need to do is be present and open our ears and our hearts,
then Jesus will appear among us bringing us God’s peace and the power of the Holy Spirit.

  For Mothers of Many
I have five siblings, three sisters and two brothers.
One night I was chatting with my mom about how she had changed as a mother from the first child to the last.
She told me she had mellowed a lot over the years:
“When your oldest sister coughed or sneezed, I called the ambulance.
When your youngest brother swallowed a dime, I just told him it was coming out of his allowance.”
