FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT
“Come let us walk in the light of the Lord”(Isaiah) What do I need in order to enjoy a fruitful Advent?  A quiet, attentive heart , ready to listen to God’s word within me; the willingness to be surprised by what I may hear or experience; a profound trust that allows
God to light up my  heart with burning love; and finally, a firm resolve to ‘keep awake’ and not to miss the coming of the Lord.

JOKE
A father was approached by his small son who told him proudly, “ I know what the Bible means!”
His father smiled and replied, “What do you mean, you ‘know’ what the Bible means?
The son replied, “I do know!”
“Okay,” said his father. “What does the Bible mean?”
“That’s easy, Daddy,” the boy replied excitedly.
“It stands for Basic Information Before Leaving Earth”.
