27th Sunday In Ordinary Time - October 2nd, 2005

We are stewards of God’s Kingdom.  God gives us the means by which to carry our vocations, and then entrusts to us the responsibility to fulfill them.  God calls us to a higher standard of living: He asks us to take care of His world and each other, yielding to one another’s needs.  Do you fulfill His expectations?

Winter is coming!  An easy and great way to teach your children about Christian ministry is to have them choose a non-perishable food item from your cupboard or at the store, and let them “deliver” it to the back of the church weekly.  Help families keep warm and fed.  Parish volunteers deliver food donations weekly.

Oh, that today you would hear his voice!
Listening brings faith, faith brings hope.
Hope brings trust, trust brings courage to follow the Lord.

Prayer For Vocations

O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in making YOU known & loved by all. Through the intercession of Our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.   Amen.
