17th Sunday in Ordinary
Time - July 30, 2006
The more we are generous with God the more generous God will be with
us. With a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish Jesus was
able to feed a huge crowd. What do we have to offer Jesus? We
can
give Him our time-in prayer, in work and in our recreational
activities. He is waiting for us to offer it to
Him. When
we do, miracles will happen in our lives.

Vocation View
God knows what we want before we ask.
God knows who we are before we discern.
God invites us to pray: to ask and to discern.
Prayer for Vocations
O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to
establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech
You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons, religious
brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their
entire lives in making you known & loved by all.
Through the
intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our
Lord. Amen
Joke
A Junior Liturgy teacher asked the children just before she dismissed
them to go back into the church,
“And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?”
Annie replied, “Because people are sleeping.”
