                                17th & 18th  SUNDAYS in ORDINARY TIME
                                                       July 25 & August 1st  2004
In responding to the request to teach the disciples to pray, Jesus gives us the prayer that represents our faith - the
Our Father.  Jesus shows that God is like a loving parent that he responds to our persistent faith - he will always be present to us for guidance & healing.  Jesus challenges us to take an active role in our relationship with God.
We have to ask, to search, to knock on the door.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS

O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in making YOU known & loved by all.   Through the intercession of Our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.   Amen.
