John the Baptist prepared the way before Jesus, our redeemer by moving many hearts to repentance.  In the same way we need to prepare ourselves  to receive Jesus by  going to the sacrament of reconciliation and encouraging our friends and relatives to do likewise.  Our baptismal mission is the same as John the Baptist.  Pray for the courage to live it out !

Attention Teenagers: Chantal and Sonny Hatton are helping Father Shea with the parish Youth Group starting this September.  Parish teenagers will enjoy the meetings, the activities and the events of the youth group.  More details later.

Father Charles “Chuck” Gazely will retire from active ministry in his fiftieth year of ordination to the ministerial priesthood at the end of June 2007.  A retirement celebration will be held at Holy Family Parish, 200 Weller Avenue, Kingston, on Sunday, June 24th, 2007.  A Mass of thanksgiving will take place at 2:00pm, followed by a reception at 3:30 p.m. and a BBQ at 4:00p.m.  All are welcome.

Hour of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood - during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the last Wednesday of each month from 7:00 to 8:00pm in St. James Chapel, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kingston.  We need more priest in the world, and in our diocese.
