Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ
Our Catholic faith teaches us that the Eucharist is the root and centre
of our lives. Jesus’s body and blood nourishes us and
gives us strength to deal with all the difficult moments in our
lives. Jesus waits for us to come to Him, to receive Him and to
grow in love with Him each week so that he can be with us. Our effort
to reorganize our schedule to receive Him more than once a week will be
rewarded.

* Recently in the bulletin a request was made for a
donor to help buy a new chalice because the chalice used for weekday
masses was becoming too fragile. Four families generously
responded. As a result the parish has been able to purchase other
much needed item.
Thank you
to all four families for helping the parish acquire a new chalice, two
new ciboria for holy communion and a new set of Christmas figures.
* We have a lot of unsung heroes in our parish.
One of them is Ray Croxford. Many times Ray has used his skill to
build something for the parish. Recently Ray created a safety
railing for those using the choir loft.
Thank you very much, Ray!
* The flower gardens around Monsignor Raby House and
the church look beautiful. Hats off to Guy and Hanna Lahaie and
Bob Nichols.

Vocation View
Food usually becomes more when it is given than when it is taken.
The more Jesus is given, the more we share Him, the more He increases.
Prayer for Vocations
O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to
establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech
You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons, religious
brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their
entire lives in making you known & loved by all. Through the
intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our
Lord. Amen
Joke
A little girl, dressed in her Sunday best was running as fast as she could trying not to be late for Junior Liturgy.
As she ran she prayed, “Dear Lord, please don’t let me be
late! Dear Lord, please don’t let me be late!”
While she was running and praying, she tripped on a curb and fell
getting her clothes dirty and tearing her dress. She got up,
brushed herself off, and started running again. As she ran she
once again began to pray,”Dear Lord, please don’t let me be
late.... but please don’t shove me either!”
