The Ascension of the Lord- MAY 20, 2007
The Ascension strengthens and nourishes our hope of attaining Heaven. The hope of Heaven will fill our day with joy. Jesus is in Heaven with his glorified Body but he remains close to each of us.  In a special way we find Him in the Tabernacle.  Let us go to Him often even if we cannot physically enter a church to tell Him how much we love Him and hope to see Him.

Statue of Mary (Please leave in the entrance after the Mass you attend - for the next family)
The week of May 20th prayers will be offered in the home of the Vanhorn/Cantin Family.
The week of May 27th prayers will be offered in the home of Lucy Lariviere.

O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church, throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in making you known & loved by all.  Through the intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.   Amen.

----------------------------------------JOKE------------------------------------------------
A couple had two little boys ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous.  They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.  The boys’ mother heard that a priest in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys.  The priest agreed, but asked to see them individually.  So the mother sent her 8 year old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the priest in the afternoon.  The priest, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, “Where is God?”.  The boys’s mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed.  So the priest repeated the question in an even sterner tone, “Where is God!!?”  Again the boy made no attempt to answer.  So the priest raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy’s face and bellowed, “WHERE IS GOD!?”  The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him.  When his older brother found him in the close, he asked,”What happened?”  The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, “We are in BIG trouble this time, dude.  God is missing - and they think WE did it!”
