2nd Sunday of Easter
(Divine Mercy Sunday)
Today’s reading of the doubting and disappointed Thomas is a story of which we can all relate. When we suffer disappointment, doubt and sadness turn to God who is with us and will always hear and respond to our cries for He is a loving and merciful God.  Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated at St Mary’s Cathedral with confessions from 2 pm and Mass at 3 pm today.  Main celebrant is Father Wieslaw Chochrek...

Ladies’ Night is Saturday May 6th 6:30 pm at Holy Name School.  Very few tickets are left.

Bazaar Meeting  will take place on May 8th at 7:30 pm.  All are welcome to attend.  We need your
input so that we can have a new and improved bazaar.  All suggestions are important.

Parish Yard/Bake Sale & Barbecue will take place on Saturday May 27th from 9am-1pm. At this time, we do not have storage space but if you have household items, clothing, toys etc please save them for the sale.  Bake goods can be delivered the day of the sale.  Thanks!

Parish Prayer Network each day over 50 parishioners pray for your.  They are our Parish Prayer Network.  They also pray for people in need & for special intentions.  If you would like to join the Prayer Network, or if you have an intention for the Prayer Network please call 546-0418.
 
The ABC’s of Raising Teens: Alcohol, Parties & Your Liability” an information Night for Parents & Teens.Tues. April 25 “Thinking About Drinking” a performance by Theatre Complete of QECVI - Guest Speaker is Larry Grand, Project Consultant with the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health for 25 years.  He has written & presented extensively on alcohol liability & the related policies that can reduce this risk.  No cost - for info call Judy Forte -545-1902.

TO ALL LADIES OF THE PARISH - you are invited to the C.W.L.  Annual Mother/Daughter/Friend Pot Luck Supper taking place on Wed, MAY 3rd at 6 pm in Holy Name School.  It will be a Baby Shower to support Birthright - a representative from Birthright will be our guest speaker. A family with few resources are expecting triplets in June - this means three of everything- cribs, car seats etc - financial help & diapers are urgently needed.  Please come & support this worthwhile cause and have a delightful evening with fellow parishioners and guests. The C.W.L. ladies of St Barnaby’s & the base are being invited as well. We need to have numbers so a sign-up sheet is in the entrance.

O God. who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in make you known & loved by all.  Through the intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen
