There are people who travel with us through difficult times, those we rely on for strength, guidance & comfort. In Christian life, we model this role after Jesus Christ.  In our hectic lives many voices call out to us  - Jesus calls each of us by name.  At Eucharist our relationship with Jesus deepens and nurtures - the companion we meet here journeys with us forever - guiding, protecting & calling us forth by name that we might have life and have it to the fullest. On this WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS let us pray that many will answer the call to a vo-cation to the priesthood or religious life. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

                     The week of Apr 17th prayers will be offered in the home of Dino and Erondina Vuk.
NOTE:   Please leave the statue in the entrance after the Mass you attend for the next family to take home.

OUR PARISH WELLNESS MINISTRY includes monthly Masses at the Nursing Homes & taking Holy Communion to our homebound parishioners.  For a Pastoral visit, call the  parish office - 546-0418.

REMEMBER OUR PARISH SUPPORTS “PARTNERS IN MISSION” (Food Bank) each week because the need is so great for many families.  Bring a non-perishable item to Mass next week for the Food Bank.  Volunteers deliver our Parish food donations weekly.

HOLY NAME C.W.L. - MOTHER/DAUGHTER (FRIEND) POT LUCK SUPPER will take place at Holy Name School on Wednesday MAY 4th 6pm. Guest Speaker, Patricia Arney, from the Hearing Society.

OUR PARISH HAS FIVE YOUNG PEOPLE going to WORLD YOUTH DAY in Cologne, Germany this
summer.  As their Parish we will be helping them raise funds for this important experience.  Next week you will be introduced to our Parish Pilgrims.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  to the men of the Parish for the 50's Celebration last Saturday night - decorating -  preparing & serving a delicious dinner - music, quiz, prizes,  entertainment - special thanks to Fr Shea, their inspiration - you are all great.

NEW LIFE GROUP MEETINGS (A Catholic Ministry for the separated & Divorced) - Alternate Tuesdays 7:30 to 9:30 pm - Catholic Diocesan Centre, 390 Palace Rd - APR 19th - Healing Through Music.

HUNDREDS OF CANADIANS NEED BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTS to treat potentially life–threatening illnesses.  Fewer than 30% will find a family member who is compatible.  For the rest, an unrelated donor is the only available source of bone marrow.  George Teves (husband of the vice-principal at St Martha School) is one of these people who need an unrelated donor.  If you’re interested in becoming a donor contact your local blood services at 1-888-236-6283 or http://www.bloodservices.ca go to Bone Marrow.

O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in making YOU known & loved by all.   Through the intercession of Our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.   Amen.
