He has risen. Alleluia!  This truly is a wondrous event that we celebrate today.  Jesus has broken the bonds of death and, therefore, so can each of us. No longer can the grave hold captive those who trust in Him. Instead, we will live forever in Christ.  We celebrate!  We rejoice!

Ladies’ Night is Saturday May 6th 6:30 pm at Holy Name School.  Tickets on sale now.

Bazaar Meeting  will take place on May 8th at 7:30 pm.  All are welcome to attend.  We need your
input so that we can have a new and improved bazaar.  All suggestions are important.

Parish Yard/Bake Sale & Barbecue will take place on Saturday May 27th from 9am-1pm. At this time, we do not have storage space but if you have household items, clothing, toys etc please save them for the sale.  Bake goods can be delivered the day of the sale.  Thanks!

Parish Prayer Network each day over 50 parishioners pray for your.  They are our Parish Prayer Network.  They also pray for people in need & for special intentions.  If you would like to join the Prayer Network, or if you have an intention for the Prayer Network please call 546-0418.
 
Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated on Apr 23rd in St Mary’s Cathedral .  Confessions 2 to 2:45pm.
Holy Mass at 3pm.  Main celebrant of the mass is Fr Wieslaw Chochrek.  All are welcome.

The ABC’s of Raising Teens: Alcohol, Parties & Your Liability” an information Night for Parents & Teens. Tues. April 25 “Thinking About Drinking” a performance by Theatre Complete of QECVI - Guest Speaker is Larry Grand, Project Consultant with the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health for 25 years.  He has written & presented extensively on alcohol liability & the related policies that can reduce this risk.  No cost - for info call Judy Forte -545-1902.

THANKS TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED THE FISH FRY ON MAR 31st - the Mission Committee has voted to top up the proceeds from that evening - bringing the total for the African Wellness Project to $1,500.00   “Many Thanks” to Mr Neil Dick, his family & staff of Rideau Acres for another memorable evening:  preparing another delicious meal for the Parish and providing great service again. A big “thank you” to Mike Mundell, owner of Mundell’s Surf & Turf Store, Gore Road, who prepared & cooked the fish at no charge to the Parish. Thanks to the Mission Committee, especially, Roseanne Hogan and Linda Goldstein/Duguay.  It was a great evening & the best part - we raised a lot of money for those less fortunate than us.

O God. who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in make you known & loved by all. Through the intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen
