SECOND  SUNDAY OF EASTER- APRIL 15, 2007
Today’s gospel teaches us that we need to be patient and pray for our friends and relatives that don’t believe.  Thomas was one of Jesus’s closest friend but he had to see the evidence of the resurrection before he would believe.  Don’t doubt, believe and pray!

ONTARIO CATHOLIC SCHOOLS AND THEIR FUTURE

For more than 150 years Ontario’s Catholic Schools have helped students to reach their full spiritual and academic potential within a Christ-centered learning environment.  This is the focus of Catholic education and it reflects the goals and aspirations of the Catholic faith community.

With the growth of religious diversity in Ontario, there is a growing debate over religious education and whether or not Catholic schools should continue to be supported with tax dollars.

To increase community involvement in Catholic education, meetings are being held across the province to provide a forum for discussion about our schools and their future.

Members of our school community and other school communities in Network #1 are invited to attend a forum at St. Thomas More (7:00-8:30 pm) on Monday, April 30, 2007.

The ideas and opinions we contribute will be shared with the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and with the Institute for Catholic Education.

A pamphlet is available beside the weekly Parish bulletin for further information. If you do not have a child at Holy Name Catholic School but wish to participate in this discussion, please RSVP to the school (542-8611)

Sincerely,
Bonnie Henderson
Holy Name School Principal
