Third Sunday of Lent
March 19, 2006
“The message about the cross is foolishness to those who are
perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
There are many opportunities especially in Lent to be reconciled with
God. In the sacrament of reconciliation we rid ourselves of
self-centredness, laziness and rash judgements that clutter our hearts.
We become able to hear God’s voice speaking to us to do what he would have us do.

V0CATION VIEW
Each Lent should bring us closer to our God.
There is no failure, except that of no longer trying.
You can still follow Jesus more closely.
Prayer for Vocations
O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to
establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech
You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons religious
brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their
entire lives in making YOU known & loved by all. Through the
intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our
Lord. Amen
JOKE
A person went to confession. He said, “Father, I committed
a very serious sin.” Sinner said, I stole
lumber.” The priest asked him like a prosecutor,
“What do you mean by lots of lumber?” The penitent
said “Enough to build a house.” The priest said
“That’s very serious, for your penance, I want you to make
a NOVENA.” The sinner said “Father, you get me the
blue prints, I’ll get the lumber.”
