Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Feb 26, 2006
Wednesday begins the wonderful season of Lent. The church, in her
wisdom gives us this time to make preparation for Easter Sunday.
She encourages us to prepare for Jesus’s resurrection by prayer
and fasting. Small mortifications, works of mercy, almsgiving and
participating in the sacrament of reconciliation ore beautiful ways to
show Jesus that we love Him. Jesus gave up His very life to
save us. What will we do for Him?

establish Your Holy Church throughout the world, we earnestly beseech
You to choose from amongst our people many priests, deacons religious
