First Sunday of Lent- February 25, 2007
Lent is a time for conversion. It is a time to change and become more like Jesus.  We need to ask for the grace of conversion as we try to deny ourselves and do small acts of kindness for those that are around us.  If we look at Jesus on the cross and rely on the grace of our baptism  we will be able to do more for Him.

As you know a committee of Parishioners was to meet with the Archdiocese to obtain permission to build a church in Greenwood Park.  With the death of Archbishop Meagher all committees are suspended; therefore, we will have to wait for the new Archbishop before we can make our presentation about the Greenwood Park Church.  This may delay our plans by a year or so.

THANK YOU to our Knights of Columbus for the WONDERFUL pancake breakfast last Sunday.  It was great!!  Also, thanks to Bryce & PaulineBurns for supplying the maple syrup.

Some people have been asking about the Parish Directory.  It has been a frustrating experience.  The latest problem is that our photos are lost in cyber space somewhere.  It looks like our Parish Directory will not be published.  Money will be returned to our advertisers soon.

The FOOD BANK would like to thank you for your continued support and for the generous donation of $140.00, 1 box and 34 bags of food for October, November and December 2006.
