Fourth Sunday of Ordinary Time-  January 28, 2007
God loved us before He formed us.  He loves us more than “all the mothers in the world love their children”.  He is our hope when our circumstances become difficult to handle.  He is our refuge when we face difficulties.  We need to learn to abandon ourselves to Him and trust that He will look after us  all our needs.

O God, who has chosen the Apostles to propagate the faith & to establish Your Holy Church, throughout the world, we earnestly beseech You to choose from amongst our people many priests deacons, religious brothers & sisters and lay persons who will gladly devote their entire lives in making you known & loved by all.  Through the intercession of our Blessed Lady, we ask this through Christ our Lord.   Amen

JOKES

One Sunday morning, the priest noticed that little Anthony was staring up at the large plaque in the foyer of the church.  The plaque was covered with names, and small Canadian flags mounted on either side of it.  The eight year old boy had been staring at the plaque for some time, so the priest walked up, stood beside the boy, and said quietly, “Good morning Anthony.”
“Good morning Father,” replied the young man, still focused on the plaque.  “Father Shea, what is this?  Anthony asked.
“Well, Anthony it’s a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service.”  Soberly they stood together, staring at the large plaque.
Little Anthony’s voice was barely audible when he asked, “Which service, the 8:45 or the 10:30?
