Third Sunday In Ordinary Time
Have faith!  In today’s Scriptures we hear this invitation over and over again.  The Ninevites believe and repent.  The Psalmist trusts in God’s goodness.  Paul asks the Corinthians to look beyond this world.  And Jesus asks some ordinary fishermen to abandon all that is familiar.  Two thousand years later, these messages are still urgent.  Can we also leave our nets- our fears, bad habits, - and follow Jesus?

Statue of Mary: (Please leave in the entrance after the Mass you attend for the next family)
The week of Jan. 22nd prayers will be offered in the home of Eduarda Jesus.
The week of Jan29th prayers will be offered in the home of Lois Halligan.

All Ladies of the Parish are invited to take part in something very special on FEB 1st  - the C.W.L. are planning a Social & Silent Auction of special gift items - all the proceeds will go to the Sisters of St Joseph to continue their very important work in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere - Haiti.  Our donations may go to a nutrition centre to feed and medically care for between 120 and 150 children at any given time until they are healthy and have reached the stage of growth and development for their age.  After this they come to the centre each month to be weighed and to receive a vitamin supplement to insure that they continue to stay healthy. You can be part of this effort: by accepting this invitation.  Come & spend a delightful evening with other ladies of the parish, enjoy some refreshments and a video about  the missions titled: “To the Ends of the Earth”.  And if you see an item that takes your fancy - bid on it - if yours is the winning bid - you can take home a nice gift and  have the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped a child in Haiti - you can made a difference.

Pancake Breakfast-Unfortunately Holy Name School is not available for Sunday, Feb. 26th so our pancake breakfast will be only after the 10:30 mass at St. Martha School.  Everyone is welcome!!
