13th Sunday in Ordinary Time
The message in today’s gospel is that faith is everything: and it allows the seemingly impossible.
Faith grounded in beauty and wonder challenges us to treat each other and the earth as precious.
Faith enlivened by the Holy Spirit invites our participation in the mission of Jesus.
At the heart of our faith we meet God who urges us to recognize the holiness that is, while working toward what might be.

Farewell Get-Together for Fr. Cosmas immediately following the 5:30 Mass on Saturday, July 11th . This will be held outside at the church weather permitting. If it is raining we will move to St. Joseph’s Room.  Everyone is welcome to come and show Fr. Cosmas their appreciation for the wonderful year he has given us!
(Please sign card in foyer)

Go With God – A Summer Blessing
Go with God!
This is my summer prayer for you.
Take it with you and keep it in your mind and heart.
As you leave school for the summer,
As you lay aside your textbooks and notebooks and pencils and pens
Go with God, For God goes with you.
As you begin new projects or a summer job, As you meet and make new friends,
Go with God, for God will guide you
As you make choices about places to go, Or about whom to hang out with,
Never compromise your values, Never compromise yourself,
And go with God, for God knows your value.
As you enjoy the summer sun and the summer’s cool blue waters, be wise and safe
Respect the beauty of private space and time off.
Go with God for God always goes with you.

Joke
A family took their frail, elderly mother to a nursing home and left her, hoping she would be well cared for.
The next morning, the nurses bathed her, fed her a tasty breakfast, and set her in a chair at a window overlooking a lovely flower garden.
She seemed okay, but after a while she slowly started to tilt sideways in her chair.
Two attentive nurses immediately rushed up to catch her and straighten her up.
Again she seemed okay, but after a while she started to tilt over to her other side.
The nurses rushed back and once more brought her back upright.
This went on all morning.
Later, the family arrived to see how the old woman was adjusting to her new home
“So ma, how is it here? Are they treating you all right?”
“It’s pretty nice,” she replied.
“Except they won’t let me pass gas.”
